Late Birthday Present

I still had money on a gift card from my birthday so I went to Ross today and bought this hershey fondue set. It is shaped as a hershey kiss.

Christmas Decorations

Last night we put up the Christmas decorations. We listened to Christmas music and decorated the tree and put up the stockings.
Our stockings. We got our stockings the first Christmas we were married.

Our fiber optic village.

My collection of the willow tree nativity set has begun. This is the one part I have so far.

Thanksgiving

This year Alan, Me and Mindy decided to try to make Thanksgiving dinner on our own. We woke up early and got the turkey ready. It turned out pretty good.

Here is the final product.

We had salad, turkey, deviled eggs, green bean casserole, rolls, mashed potatoes, stuffing and Martenilli to drink.
For making it for the first time, it turned out suprisingly well.

Christmas Decorations

These will be some of the ornaments that will be hanging on our Christmas tree. I made them tonight. I put the same picture on the back side as well so if they turn you still see the same picture. I used the stretchy clear jewelry string I had to make loop to hang it.
I am excited to decorate for Christmas. It will be fun to get the tree out of the box and decorated.

Toes

Here are my toes. My mom came up this weekend for Mindy's birthday and to spend time with everyone. Mindy got a facial and a pedicure for her birthday. Nikki, my mom and I joined up with Mindy for a pedicure as part of her gift. They had all four of us in one room. Thanks Mom, it was a lot of fun.
Happy Birthday Mindy.
I will have to put a picture of all on when I get one.

New Favorite Christmas song

Alan and I were listening to christmas music last time we came home from Idaho. It's kind of funny because we both like to wait to put up decorations and putting christmas music in until after thanksgiving is over. Well I was in charge of cd control on the way home. I found a cd that was not labeled so I put it in to see what it was. It was Amy Grants christmas cd. So we decided to listen to it. Then we went on to Alan's christmas music. He played me this song and I love it. I love the message.
The song is Mary, Did you know song by Clay Aiken (or at least the one we have).

La Caille

This was the restaurant we went to on Tuesday night. Deloitte asked one of Alan's soon to be co-workers and his wife to take us out to dinner on Deloitte. We went to this really nice French restaurant in Sandy, UT. The restaurant was really nice looking inside and expensive. The grounds looked really pretty too but we didn't get a chance to explore because dinner went from 7 - 10. The restaurant is back in a canyon surrounded by trees. To get to the restaurant, you drive down a brick road with trees all around. It is quite a ways back in there. We even had valet parking -- we have never done that before so it was a different experience.
They start off by giving you an appetizer menu. You pick one then after you are finished with that they give you the dinner menu where you pick out your meal and the salad you want. For appetizer, Alan had a lobster soup and I had a baked onion soup. After dinner they give you the dessert menu to pick your dessert. Alan and I got the filet mignion steak for dinner and the trio for dessert. The dessert had three things to it: chocolate brownie/cake, creme bruleau, and frozen Alaska. It was a pretty cool place and a neat experience. Alan's co-worker ordered duck and let Alan try some. He said it was pretty good. The place even has a little cottage back there that you could stay at for a night or two.
