This was the restaurant we went to on Tuesday night. Deloitte asked one of Alan's soon to be co-workers and his wife to take us out to dinner on Deloitte. We went to this really nice French restaurant in Sandy, UT. The restaurant was really nice looking inside and expensive. The grounds looked really pretty too but we didn't get a chance to explore because dinner went from 7 - 10. The restaurant is back in a canyon surrounded by trees. To get to the restaurant, you drive down a brick road with trees all around. It is quite a ways back in there. We even had valet parking -- we have never done that before so it was a different experience.
They start off by giving you an appetizer menu. You pick one then after you are finished with that they give you the dinner menu where you pick out your meal and the salad you want. For appetizer, Alan had a lobster soup and I had a baked onion soup. After dinner they give you the dessert menu to pick your dessert. Alan and I got the filet mignion steak for dinner and the trio for dessert. The dessert had three things to it: chocolate brownie/cake, creme bruleau, and frozen Alaska. It was a pretty cool place and a neat experience. Alan's co-worker ordered duck and let Alan try some. He said it was pretty good. The place even has a little cottage back there that you could stay at for a night or two.
