My Cute Husband

Alan come home today from school with a bouquet of beautiful roses. It was a wonderful surprise. I guess he wanted to do something special for me since he had so much homework last night we didn't really get to hang out. He is such a wonderful and thoughtful husband. I am a lucky girl to have married him! I am grateful to have him in my life and look forward to spending forever with him.

Clean Apartment

Okay so we finally cleaned out our apartment. The first picture is our bedroom. The second is the kitchen. The third is our front room. We really like these apartments. I really love having a washer and dryer. So here are the updated pictures but clean.

We heard back Finally

So we got the final grad school letter. The only one we had not heard from yet was BYU. He got accepted! He said BYU only accepts about 10 students from around the world that are not already in their program . He now has to make a decision between BYU and U of U. When he makes his choice we will let you know.

He got into all of the schools that he applied to. He got scholarships to 3 of the 5 so far. I am very proud of him. He has been a wonderful example to me of how hard work and effort pays off. He has always put the time and energy needed into his school work. It has opened many doors for him in his internship and grad school.

Grad School

So everyone is probably wondering where Alan is planning on going to grad school. Well, he was accepted to 4 of the 5 he applied to . We are still waiting to hear back from BYU.

He has accepted the offer to University of Utah. It will be U of U unless he gets an amazing offer from BYU. He has gotten scholarships from Ohio State, Univeristy of Utah and Utah State. I am very proud of him. He has worked really hard in his school work and it has paid off.

Even though he is going to U of U he will always be a BYU fan. We even got BYU season tickets to go to the football games this year. It has been fun being around Alan's family for the beginning of our marriage. I am excited to be moving close to my family though.

water aerobics

So I have started to go to water aerobics classes monday through thursday for an hour. It's probably wishful thinking but I feel like I am already starting to see changes. I feel like my love handles have gone down some and my stomach is tighter. Also my arms are getting toned so I starting to get the nice indent. I really like the class and look forward to going each time.

Our thoughts on the internship finally

Well we are back in Rexburg. We are happy to be back and into our new apartment. We are excited to be around family again. I still remember leaving Rexburg on January 2 not really knowing what we were getting ourselves into. The first night we got into our apartment in Connecticut, I remember thinking to myself "what are we doing here and why did we go so far away?" We had no idea what to expect. However, we are grateful we took this adventure. It was a great experience and the New Canaan ward is amazing. They made us feel so welcome and truly felt like "family". We met some wonderful people that were hard to leave behind but we are going to stay in contact with them. We also met some really cute and fun kids that would be fun to see as they get older. Even thought it was hard to be away from family and so far away from our "normal" lives, we learned a lot and were able to grow as individuals and as a couple.
