Tanner's bike

We bought Tanner a bike for his birthday, but decided to get it for him now since his birthday is in the winter time.  He was really excited and loves it.  He is really good too for it being his first time.  This is him riding it after we got it home.

He was doing really good and then went to stop. Alan had taught him how to brake. He put his foot down and turned the wheel at the same time so he ended up falling off and broke all three bones in his arm.  We thought he just hurt his foot at first since that is what he was crying about.  We got him to walk and then when we brought him inside he was complaining of his elbow hurting.  He cried for 30 minutes and wanted to go bed.  He would cry harder when you touched or lifted his arm.  We decided to take him to urgent care.  They took xrays and told us it was a type 1 or type 2 break.  He either would need a splint or surgery to put a pin in.  They wanted us to go up to primary childrens.  We went up there and they took more xrays and said it was his radius.  They put a splint on and then we were to come back in a couple of days for a cast.  We are glad it was not surgery and that he had a helmet on.  We will be getting him elbow and knee pads.

Waiting for them to start putting the cast on.  They told us here he had a fracture in all three bones.

Starting.  Alan and I have never seen a cast put on before so I took pictures.

He choice red like lightning mcqueen.

He didn't want to look at the camera. All done and on the way home.  He told us while we were driving he wanted green on his other arm.  Silly kid.

Rice Cereal

Trevor turned four months the beginning of April.  With Tanner I waited till I went to the doctor to start rice cereal but not with Trevor.  He likes it so far.

Tanner wanted to help feed Trevor.

Easter 2012

Easter was fun this year since Tanner was hold enough to really get into it.  We dyed eggs for the first time this year and Tanner loved it (even though the first picture he looks grumpy).  We got everything ready the night before after we put Tanner to bed.   In the morning we did a little easter egg hunt at our house with some real and some plastic eggs.  We then went down to my brother and sister in-laws house and had easter dinner.  My parents were up for the weekend too because my nephew was baptized.  It was a great weekend with family and friends.
Tanner stirring the dye.
 Putting the egg in.
All done.  (He ate an egg before so that is why his teeth look yellow).

 Tanner's easter basket.
 Trevor's easter.
My mom use to do easter bunny foot prints.  Mine did not turn out as good.  Maybe next year.
Tanner with his tools.  He loved them.
The boys together in there matching church outfits.

 Matching outfits.
I came home one day and Tanner made a table for his pizza.

The usual toy choice of Tanner.

I love these pictures of Trevor.
 Tanner showing Trevor thomas.
Tanner playing rockband.
I thought it was time to add some photos.  Tanner has adjusted to being an older brother and now loves to show Trevor all of his toys.  I think they will keep each other entertained when Trevor can run around with Tanner.  I am missing being able to get a full nights sleep but that is normal.  Trevor is 4 1/2 months old now.  He loves to smile and laugh.  He is very attached to his mommy though.  He is close to rolling over.  He trys to move when he is on his belly to get the toys.

Update

I figured I would do an update post since it has been a while.

Alan- He got a new job. He is still doing taxes but just for one company now. He likes it so far. It has been nice since he has only worked till 7 one night. Beats 2 or 5 in the morning.

Me- Adjusting to two kids and sleepless nights again. It has been pretty easy with the few days of what was I thinking.

Tanner- The usual in to everything and lots of energy. He loves being an older brother.

Trevor- Sleeping, eating, and growing. He started smiling and laughing. He is almost 14 pounds.

Trevor

He is here (I know this is 2 month late but my computer was not letting me post posts. He was born on Dec. 7. He was 7 pounds 7 ounces. The delivery went really well and fast. I was sleeping with Tanner in our spare bedroom. Around 3 I started having contractions every 10 minutes apart. After an hour I decided I probably should wake Alan up. We didn't have to do the whole timing thing with Tanner so we waited for another hour just to make sure. They still were coming 10 minutes apart and then start going to 7 so we decided probably should go in soon. The hospital watched me for an hour to make sure and then I was admitted. My doctor had things going on so he didn't get there till 10:45. They broke my water and 30 minutes later it was time to push. Tanner loves being a big brother. Trevor loves his brother, anytime he is around him he just watchs him. Can't wait for the two to be able to run around together.

Tanner Turned 2

Tanner turned 2 on October 15. Can't believe how fast these two years have gone by. Seems like I was just bringing him home from the hospital.

Here he is at 3 months.

The two year old birthday boy. He is a very sweet and loving little boy. He has a cheesy side to him though that we love and makes us laugh often. He is fearless and keeps us on our toes. He is full of energy. Life would be boring without him.

Tanner with his presents. He got a car mat, trains, slippers, books and car book that has little cars and a mat to drive them on.

On his birthday we went up to Black Island Farm with some friends. They had slides, petting zoo, corn mazes and a tractor ride that took you out to the pumpkin patch where you could pick a pumpkin.
