Trevor

He is here (I know this is 2 month late but my computer was not letting me post posts. He was born on Dec. 7. He was 7 pounds 7 ounces. The delivery went really well and fast. I was sleeping with Tanner in our spare bedroom. Around 3 I started having contractions every 10 minutes apart. After an hour I decided I probably should wake Alan up. We didn't have to do the whole timing thing with Tanner so we waited for another hour just to make sure. They still were coming 10 minutes apart and then start going to 7 so we decided probably should go in soon. The hospital watched me for an hour to make sure and then I was admitted. My doctor had things going on so he didn't get there till 10:45. They broke my water and 30 minutes later it was time to push. Tanner loves being a big brother. Trevor loves his brother, anytime he is around him he just watchs him. Can't wait for the two to be able to run around together.

Tanner Turned 2

Tanner turned 2 on October 15. Can't believe how fast these two years have gone by. Seems like I was just bringing him home from the hospital.

Here he is at 3 months.

The two year old birthday boy. He is a very sweet and loving little boy. He has a cheesy side to him though that we love and makes us laugh often. He is fearless and keeps us on our toes. He is full of energy. Life would be boring without him.

Tanner with his presents. He got a car mat, trains, slippers, books and car book that has little cars and a mat to drive them on.

On his birthday we went up to Black Island Farm with some friends. They had slides, petting zoo, corn mazes and a tractor ride that took you out to the pumpkin patch where you could pick a pumpkin.

28 weeks

Here I am at 28 weeks. Figured it was time since I have not taken a picture yet. I have also had a family member want to see a picture since they don't live close.
Everything is going good so far. I passed the glucose test the first time around. He is an active baby all the time. I have heartburn very often and pretty much anything causes it. I have only gained 11 pounds so far. We are excited for another one but enjoying our time with just one for now.

My projects

So I have had a few projects I have wanted to do . They were making a car seat canopy, matching ties for the baby and Tanner, and a nursing cover (I want to make a wider one). First one I did was the car seat canopy. Here are pictures of how it turned out. Not bad for my first time. If you want to make one here is the link of which I followed http://www.sweetnsassygirls.com/2010/02/how-to-make-a-reversible-car-seat-covertentcanopy.html

I added buttons just for decoration.

The back side. I made it reversible.

My next project was making ties. I made two different ones. Here is one.

Here is the other one. Still to come nursing cover. I have not started on that yet. Still got time. It has been nice having projects to keep me busy with busy season going for Alan.

ANOTHER BOY!!!

We had our gender ultrasound yesterday. I have always thought from looking at the first ultrasound it was a boy. Alan was thinking it was going to be a girl. Turns out my instinct was right and we are having another BOY!! We are excited to have another boy and that Tanner will have a buddy. They will be around 2 years and 2 months apart from each other. The baby is healthy and right on track. Everything looked perfect. That was a relief to me since I have not been good about prenatals this time. In the first ultrasound I was measuring around a due date of the 16th instead of the 21st but they didn't change it. At this ulrasound I was measuring earlier too, around the 15th so the changed the official due date to December 16th, which is okay with. The ultrasound this time the tech lady gave more detail on what we were looking at so it was cooler.

Here is a picture of the profile.

In this one the baby has his mouth open. He was either yawning or drinking some of the fluid.

Tanner's prayer

In nursery on Sundays Tanner likes to play with the big cars and they do bubbles at the end. After church we came home and got lunch ready. We said a prayer over the food and started eating. Tanner then folded his arms and I heard him say "and nursery, and big cars, and bubbles and cars amen." He then unfolded his arms and ate his lunch. It was cute to hear him say his own prayer and what he is grateful for. It also makes me laugh because he loves loves loves his cars.

Tanner's first battle wound

Just to give a warning, some of the pictures might gross you out. I get grossed out a little looking at them and I am the mom (should be able to handle it right). So the story begins at Panda Express today for lunch. We sat Tanner on the bench with us. He would get up and walk back and forth but never came close to the edge. Well, after we were done eating he walked over by the the edge and the next thing you know, he fell off. Alan picked him up and was holding him when I noticed he had blood in his hair. We looked and saw this. We took him into urgent care right away.

The nurse cleaned up the wound before we saw the doctor. Tanner didn't even cry during this. This is a picture of the cleaned wound (the one that grosses me out). The doctor came in and told us he would need to get staples. They took us back and they numbed the wound and then put 5 staples in his head.

I just can't believe how much has happened already at 19 months. This boy has already had 2 ER visits (one for viral infection in his lungs, second febral myoclinic jerks) in this year. With the febral jerks (seizure like jerks) we had to be transferred to another hospital so he had to ride in an ambulance. Hopefully he will have nothing else happen to him.

He did so good though. He cried for 2 minutes at Panda Express and then just whimpered when they were doing the numbing and staples.
The final look with the staples in. It looks all goopy in this picture because they put antibiotic ointment on after putting in the staples. We have to go back in a week to get the staples removed.
