California

After graduation, Alan and I went down to California to visit my family and an early anniversary celebration.
We went down to Hollywood so Alan could see the sign, walk of stars and the other tourist things. We also found the Spelling's house down there. It was huge!
Down by the theaters they have people dressed up in lots of different things from movies so we got a picture with these two.

Alan with the sign.

We also went to Disneyland and California Adventures. A family friend is a member of Club 33. How it works is you get free admission into both parks for the day but you pay for your meal at a restaurant for club members only. It comes out cheaper then if you bought a one two park hopper pass. The restaurant was really fancy. The toliet in the girl's restroom looks like a chair instead of a toliet. I wish I would have taken a picture.

Picture from the ride Hollywood Towers. It was our favorite ride.

We also went down to Huntington Beach one day. We ate at the restaurant on the pier.

Alan has always wanted to go to an Angels game since we got married so we decided to go. It was a lot of fun. It was also Alan's first professional baseball game.

We also checked out the new outdoor mall in my hometown. We went out to dinner with Shannon and her husband (really good friend of the fam.).

We had a fun time and it was great to relax.

Graduation

ALAN GRADUATED with his Bachelors! Before graduation we had a BBQ to celebrate both his graduation and his sister Janelle. I made a cake for him. The blue part is a cap. It reads graduation to the U. (Don't worry he will always be a BYU fan).
Here is a picture of him and his sister.

Alan was asked to speak at graduation. On both sides of the stage they project the speaker on big screens so people can see from the back rows. It was really cool to see him up on the stage. He did an awesome job. His talk was really good. I will post it later for those who could not be there to hear it.

All who attended.

Alan's Award

On July 10 at 7 in the morning, Alan was invited to attend a breakfast with the faculty to receive an award. The accounting department voted on 5 students who they thought contributed and added to the program.
This is what they gave all the 5 students as a gift from them. They had a different teacher say a few words about why each student was there. It is really awesome that everyone would think so highly of Alan. I am really proud of him and the effort he puts in.
One funny thing that happened was as we were leaving a teacher told Alan "just letting you know your dad didn't vote on who would be the 5 so it wouldn't be bias."

Relay For Life

Alan partcipated in the American Cancer Society Relay for Life on July 11. Everyone that was involved got a shirt. We took a picture of him in his shirt. He didn't take pictures of the all night event or others in the group. It started at 6:00 pm Friday night and went until saturday at 8:00 am. He walked about 8 miles total with all the laps he did.
Thanks to everyone who donated helping him reach the goal.

Hair Cutting

Alan cut Ryan's hair (his brother) for his senior pictures. It turned out good.

Fourth of July

We went to the Rexburg parade in the morning (last two pictures). Then in the afternoon we had a bbq with Alan's family and Thurman family. Then we went down to Idaho Falls to watch the fireworks (top picture)
It was a fun day. We always love to see fireworks.

New Niece

Alan's sister Stephanie had her baby on monday. She is so tiny and cute. It was a little girl.
