Fishing

We took Tanner fishing for the first time in July.  He was loving it.  He even talks about it still.  Grandpa helped out and showed him how.

Holding the fishing pole waiting for the fish to come.

Grandpa showing him how to reel in the fish.
 And then how to cast.
He got one. The next picture is out of order but grandpa sat down so he wanted to.

Trevor and me sat and watched.

Last Two Months

Since Tanner got his cast off we just have been hanging out, went on a summer to california, family reunions and using our pass of all passes.  Tanner has gotten over his fear of his bike and loves to ride it now. Trevor is rolling over.  He is starting to move around a little but not crawling yet.  I am not ready for him to be crawling.

We did potatoe stamping on day.  Tanner loved it and thought it was fun.

Trevor tried oreo for the first time.  He loved it.

Love this picture of the boys.  So cute.

He got his cast off after 3 weeks.  He was so use to it he did really want to get it off.  We were glad it finally came off though.  He discovered you could hit it and it made noise, it could be a weapon and it made noise when rubbed up against it. He would even tell us he couldn't do thing since it was broken.  Even after he got it one he told us he wanted to go get a green one on the other hand.  To get it off they cut it down on each side and then use plyers and pulled it apart.
I guess they said it still would hurt to move it since he was in one position for a while.  He was telling me it hurt in the picture.

Tanner's bike

We bought Tanner a bike for his birthday, but decided to get it for him now since his birthday is in the winter time.  He was really excited and loves it.  He is really good too for it being his first time.  This is him riding it after we got it home.

He was doing really good and then went to stop. Alan had taught him how to brake. He put his foot down and turned the wheel at the same time so he ended up falling off and broke all three bones in his arm.  We thought he just hurt his foot at first since that is what he was crying about.  We got him to walk and then when we brought him inside he was complaining of his elbow hurting.  He cried for 30 minutes and wanted to go bed.  He would cry harder when you touched or lifted his arm.  We decided to take him to urgent care.  They took xrays and told us it was a type 1 or type 2 break.  He either would need a splint or surgery to put a pin in.  They wanted us to go up to primary childrens.  We went up there and they took more xrays and said it was his radius.  They put a splint on and then we were to come back in a couple of days for a cast.  We are glad it was not surgery and that he had a helmet on.  We will be getting him elbow and knee pads.

Waiting for them to start putting the cast on.  They told us here he had a fracture in all three bones.

Starting.  Alan and I have never seen a cast put on before so I took pictures.

He choice red like lightning mcqueen.

He didn't want to look at the camera. All done and on the way home.  He told us while we were driving he wanted green on his other arm.  Silly kid.

Rice Cereal

Trevor turned four months the beginning of April.  With Tanner I waited till I went to the doctor to start rice cereal but not with Trevor.  He likes it so far.

Tanner wanted to help feed Trevor.

Easter 2012

Easter was fun this year since Tanner was hold enough to really get into it.  We dyed eggs for the first time this year and Tanner loved it (even though the first picture he looks grumpy).  We got everything ready the night before after we put Tanner to bed.   In the morning we did a little easter egg hunt at our house with some real and some plastic eggs.  We then went down to my brother and sister in-laws house and had easter dinner.  My parents were up for the weekend too because my nephew was baptized.  It was a great weekend with family and friends.
Tanner stirring the dye.
 Putting the egg in.
All done.  (He ate an egg before so that is why his teeth look yellow).

 Tanner's easter basket.
 Trevor's easter.
My mom use to do easter bunny foot prints.  Mine did not turn out as good.  Maybe next year.
Tanner with his tools.  He loved them.
