Tanner is 8 months old. Crazy how fast he grows. He scoots every where around. He is really close and does crawl a little at times. He is so much fun though. He has a cute laugh.

Him scooting taken on 6/1. He was scooting before I took the video too.
Him almost crawling taken today.

Zoo

This picture is random but one day I looked over and he had fallen asleep playing in this toy.
Today we went to the zoo. Tanner didn't really care to much for the animals but it still was fun.

Tanner's First Owie

Today, Tanner somehow got a hold of a soda can and started playing with it. Before we could get it out of his hand, he started crying. He had cut his finger! We felt terrible. We rushed him over to the sink to wash his finger off. He had cut the index finger on his left hand. Luckily, it was not deep -- it looked like a paper cut. We cleaned it off and stuck a band-aid on his finger.

Well, Tanner thought the band-aid was pretty cool and kept trying to stick his finger in his mouth. We didn't want him to suck the band-aid off or get his finger infected so we stuck a sock on his hand to keep him from sticking the finger in his mouth. He didn't like that too much because he couldn't grab his toys now.

Eventually, he fell asleep on the couch. He took about a thirty minute nap before waking up. When he woke up, we noticed that the sock was no longer on his hand. We looked closer and the band-aid was also gone! We looked everywhere for it and started to get worried that somehow he had eaten the band-aid right off his finger. We were getting a little nervous when I looked up and saw this:

Somehow the band-aid had stuck to his ear and came right off his finger. Alan and I could not stop laughing. It was sad to see Tanner experience his first owie but he is doing fine and we ended up with a good story and laugh.

tan man

Tanner is 7 months old. Time has gone by so fast. He went from this first picture at 2 weeks old to the second picture at 7 months old seems like in a blink of an eye. It doesn't feel like it has been 7 months. They don't stay little forever. He was a cute newborn and still is a cute little guy. He even gets comments from people on how cute he is every where we go.

He tried one of the meats baby food for the first time. He was not really a fan. I think the texture is what he didn't like. There is a video down below.

He looks likes more like an infant then a baby in these pictures. Don't grow up to fast little guy.

New Furniture

Alan will get a bonus from work when he passes the CPA exam. He gets different amounts if he passes it in one year from starting work or two years. We are finding out if he passed his last test in two weeks (pretty sure he will). I told him to take some of the money and reward himself for his hard work with school and the CPA. He came home from work and told me he wanted a king size bed and bed set. I, of course, didn't object. A lady at his work can get furniture pretty much at manufacture's price. After looking at the catalog, I loved this table. Since screws from our old table kept falling out we decided it was a good deal so we got a table too. It took as all day Saturday to get the furniture and put it together. The first picture is all the boxes.

With the box spring and the mattress, the mattress comes up to my hips. It is very tall.

The bed.

The bed frame and the two nightstands.

The bed frame has three cubbies. On the side there is a touch button to turn the lights on in the cubby. There are three light settings.

A Night Stand

The Dresser

The table is a counter height table with butterfly leaf in the middle. Here is a picture of the chairs.

bee's game

Last friday we went to a Bee's game. Alan's work had a suite. It was a lot of fun
