Speaking

On Monday Alan got a call from the school wanting to schedule a time to meet with the Dean of his department. So he scheduled one for Wednesday morning. Well he went today and as I guessed, they asked him to be a speaker at graduation. It will be cool to see him up there on the stage.

Saturday

On saturday one of the dealership had a car show. The first picure is Alan and I sitting a ford car from 1915.
The bottom picture is the inside of the new dodge charger cop cars. They are pretty nice. The back seat had plastic seats. Darin (my cousin) sat in it and said it was really hard.

My Wii Age

On our wii has a fitness test on it. After it is done it comes up with an age based on your balance, speed and stamina. My age was 59. Guess i am way out of shape.

Ranking

So Alan found out today he is ranked number 3 in his class. It't crazy to think that there are only two people ahead of him with a better GPA. Way to go Alan. I am so proud of him. I am hoping our kids get his genes.

Fishing

The first saturday in June was free fishing day. So we went fishing. Alan's dad, brother Ryan, Darin and Carolyn went too. It was really cold that day and even snowed on us. I didn't catch a fish. Alan almost got one but the fish broke the line and got away.

Oh no

So this weekend we went down to Salt Lake to look at apartments. Well our air matress broke. It was kind of funny and sad at the same time. Oh well at least we got a good 3 1/2 months out of it before it broke.
We decided it would be funny for Darin to pretend he lost his keys in the matress.

The decision

So Alan has made up his mind on where he is going to grad school. It was between BYU and University of Utah. He talked to a lady that works in the Deloitte office in Salt Lake. He asked her if going to the better rank school would make a difference in getting the job. She told him no they look at who is better qualified, their personality, and how they would fit into the office. He also asked her if it would make a difference in his pay. She said no they would pay them the same.
So after hearing that and praying about it he has decided to go to the Univeristy of Utah. He was offered a scholarship there and they are only two semesters instead of three.
He has worked very hard and I am very proud of him. It is an amazing opportunity to get into all 5 schools he applied too. It is crazy to think he get into BYU when they only accept 10 students outside of their program.
